Pupils paint mural for primary school

At the end of last term Christ the King College students in Year 10, 12 and 13 painted a mural at St Thomas of Canterbury Primary School. The design was suggested by the Head of St Thomas’ and was designed by Joanne Green and Eloise Buttery in Year 13. Fine Art students in Year 10 also lent a hand in the painting.

Head of Art Adam Brown said: “it was a fantastic opportunity for the older students to design the mural and for the younger students to help with the painting. I was really impressed with their determination to get the picture completed and the results are excellent. We had some great feedback from the students at St Thomas’ who loved watching the mural come to life during the days we were there. We hope that we have brightened up their play area and promoted a positive message.”
