Four more deaths from Covid-19 today

 Once again the number of deaths on the Island from the coronavirus has increased.

Alistair Flowerdew, Medical Director at Isle of Wight NHS Trust, said: “Sadly, we can confirm that four people being cared for at St Mary’s Hospital who had tested positive for coronavirus have died. The four women, aged between 80 and 87, had underlying health conditions. Their families have been informed and our thoughts and deepest condolences are with them all at this difficult and distressing time.”

As of 5pm today the number of people who have tested postive for Covid-19 and died is now 29, while 25 people have recovered from the virus.  The number of confimed cases has jumped by 17 to 145.
