Caring Cancer Trust welcomes donation from Brightbulb

Wootton Bridge based Brightbulb Design have raised £1,350 for the Caring Cancer Trust as part of their charity of the year scheme.

The money was raised with a social media digital raffle, becoming part of the Waitrose charity scheme and through fundraising events across the Island. They also took part in the Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival, with their entry featuring handmade baubles from many children who had sadly passed away from cancer.

Chris Ody of the Caring Cancer Trust said: “The money raised will mean we can take 5 more children who are suffering or have suffered from childhood cancer on a healing holiday of adventure to try and re-ignite their passion for life.”

Fiona Jeffery Brightbulb’s Head of Happiness said: “It’s such a pleasure as an Island business to be able to give back and pull our business connections together so that we can help such a worthy cause. Thanks to all the businesses that donated prizes to the raffle and supported us in raising money for the Caring Cancer Trust.”

Brightbulb also provided the Caring Cancer Trust with a new website, updated t-shirt and other designed items free of charge.

For the coming year BrightBulb have nominated The Wight Brainy Bunch as their charity of the year. The Island charity was setup after the founder Mark Grimes was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2015.
