Emergency services attend Shide Road crash

Emergency services were called to reports of a road traffic incident on Shide Road on Tuesday afternoon (March 5).

Police closed Shide Road between Shide Cross and the junction with Queens Road.

It’s understood a vehicle and a pedestrian were involved in the incident just after 3.30pm.

The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service removed one person from the vehicle.

Southern Vectis has confirmed the incident affected their Route 38 service, which was unable to serve stops at Watergate Road and Medina Avenue.
