One of the UK’s biggest stationery retailers could soon be leaving the Isle of Wight if the signs in the windows are to be believed.
“Closing down” and “everything must go” signs have been put up in the windows of the store in Newport.
Staff have not been told if the store is closing or if it’s just an advertising stunt.
Formerly known as Staples, Office Outlet asked landlords in August for a three year rent holiday in a bid to restructure and keep the business going due to soaring running costs and weak sales performance.
Office Outlet have been asked for confirmation on the future of the Newport store.
