Cars in East Cowes have had their tyres slashed and been broken into on Osborne Road overnight on November 5.

A Renault Clio and Kia Picanto had their tyres slashed and a number of vehicles were damaged and broken into in Cambridge Road and Albany Road.

A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said: “Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicles in Albany Road and Cambridge Road, however a key ring torch was stolen from a Kia Sorento in Osborne Road.

“Officers conducted a search of the area but did not locate the people responsible.”

East Cowes Councillor Karl Love said: “We need to find these criminals and if you know or have witnessed anything please report it.

“I have had complaints about the parking and the lack of it in and around this locality. I do hope this is not some kind of visual anti-road wars attack? If anyone living nearby has any CCTV footage from last night that might show the attackers can they please report it to the police.

“There is no justification for criminal damage like this.”
