Three people including a child have been taken to hospital after getting into difficulty at sea.
A girl described as around ten years old panicked when she got into difficulty at sea on Tuesday (August 14).
Her adult sister jumped in after her near Sandown Pier a spokesman for UK Coastguard confirmed.
The older sister then got into difficulty and two more adults went in to help, the coastguard spokesman said.
