A new vintage-style tearoom has opened in Newport town centre.

The Vintage Rose Tearoom opened on Monday (July 30) in Pyle Street, the shop has a nostalgic 1940s feel with homemade cakes and hot drinks at reasonable prices.

Paula and Tony own the tearoom and are excited to bring a new business into the town.

Paula said: “We’re very busy, we’ve got cooked breakfasts, jacket potatoes, paninis, a large selection of cakes. We’ve also got a selection of scones, cherry, grape, cheese and plain. We also do clotted cream and jam.

“It’s been really busy, it’s been brilliant. We’re open 9am – 5pm. Saturday 9am – 4pm. We are not open on Sunday as I’ve got all these delicious cakes to bake!

“Everything is homemade, nothing comes out of a packet. Cakes are £2.75 a slice, with cream £3.75 – so very reasonable prices.”

The tea rooms also offer baby showers, hen showers, birthday parties, outside catering and pop-up parties.

The tearoom has a very vintage feel inside with floral decor and a fantastic array of cakes on display.

To book simply pick up the phone and give one of their pleasant staff a call on 07562980745.
