The Isle of Wight Steam Railway will host its 150th Anniversary Gala & Festive Ales Weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, November 29 and 30. In partnership with Island Line, the event marks 150 years of the Ryde and Newport Railway, with a mix of historic and modern trains, including steam locomotives Calbourne and Freshwater, diesel engines D2554 “Nuclear Fred”, and newly arrived 03 179, plus Island Line’s Class 484 units.

A joint all-day ticket is £20 for adults and £10 for children, and offers unlimited travel across Island Line and Steam Railway services, while Havenstreet will host a Christmas-themed real ale bar throughout the weekend. Entry to the station site and festival is free, with train-only tickets available in advance or from the booking office.

Havenstreet and its café, shop, and Train Story Centre will be open across the weekend, with trains running from 9.30am to 3.57pm. Locomotives are subject to availability.
